Apply to join the Wood Buffalo Health Advisory Council

FORT McMURRAY– Alberta Health Services (AHS) invites members of the public to apply to join the local Wood Buffalo Health Advisory Council. 

The council is looking for volunteer members who:

  • Have a broad interest in health issues.
  • Are 18 years of age or older. 
  • Reside in the area.
  • Can appreciate and represent diverse points of view.
  • Are passionate about the community. 

Health advisory councils play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging community members and sharing their diverse perspectives with the organization. Councils meet four to five times a year with AHS leadership.

There are nine positions open on the council, all with three-year terms. For more information, please visit ahs.ca and search for advisory councils.
