Make a pledge for Change Day Alberta

November 6, 2017

Join the international movement to spark positive change for health

Alberta Health Services (AHS) invites all Albertans to celebrate Change Day 2017 and make a pledge to improve their health, their life or their healthcare system.

Change Day is Nov. 17. AHS, along with multiple partner organizations, is asking AHS staff, physicians, volunteers and the public to make a pledge and join this worldwide movement aimed at empowering healthcare providers and the public to promote meaningful change.

Last year, more than 6,000 Albertans made a pledge for change and this year, the goal is to reach 10,000 pledges.

Albertans can pledge as an individual or as a team. Visit changedayab.ca to join the Change Day movement and see what others have pledged. Highlights this year include a nurse promising to buy coffee for a tired parent, a Grade 3 student vowing to cut her hair to raise money for cancer research, and the mother of a child with cancer committing to help other families in similar circumstances.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.
