New CT scanner coming to Northern Lights Regional Health Centre

February 22, 2018

FORT McMURRAY – Work is now underway to upgrade and replace the computed tomography (CT) scanner at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre. This work is expected to take seven to 10 weeks.

During this time, residents requiring a CT scan will have access to a temporary CT scanner installed in a trailer near the emergency department. There will be no disruption for patients as a new and improved CT scanner is installed.
