Residents invited to public information session hosted by Tamarack Health Advisory Council

WESTLOCK – Local and area residents are invited to attend a public information session on May 25. This is an opportunity for participants to learn more about Continuing Care Services, such as home care, supportive living, and long term care; Enhancing Care in the Community; and, Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID). Dr. Jim Silvius, AHS Lead for Medical Assistance in Dying Preparedness at Alberta Health Services, will be the keynote speaker.

The information session runs from 1 – 4:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #97 - 10004 106 St, Westlock.

Health Advisory Councils play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure that services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them.
