EAST PRAIRIE METIS SETTLEMENT – Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the boil water advisory for East Prairie Metis Settlement.
An issue with the water system in East Prairie Metis Settlement related to ongoing wildfire activity in the area had prompted AHS to issue an advisory as a precautionary measure on May 11, 2023. That issue has since been resolved, and water quality testing has confirmed that water is once again safe to consume.
Once residents of the area are allowed to re-enter, all residents and businesses can return to normal water consumption practices; boiling is no longer required.
