PICTURE BUTTE – Due to an unexpected clinical personnel shortage and inability to secure coverage, the Piyami Health Centre ambulatory clinic will be temporarily closed Friday, April 18, and Sunday, April 20. The clinic will be open Saturday, April 19, during regular weekend hours, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic will reopen with regular weeknight clinic hours from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, April 21.
The non-urgent walk-in clinic offers care to people who need to see a doctor but don’t need to be seen in the emergency department. Residents may also utilize the Coaldale Health Centre ambulatory clinic on weeknights from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency, health-related questions. Patients seeking emergency care can also access the emergency department at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is working to ensure local residents continue to have access to the care they need during this time.
