Update: Physician coverage found for temporary service advisory at Smoky Lake Emergency Department

SMOKY LAKE— On-site physician coverage has been found for the remainder of the previously announced temporary service advisory at the George McDougall- Smoky Lake Healthcare Centre emergency department (ED).

On-site physician coverage has been secured for the following time periods:

• 8 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31 to 8 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 1

Therefore, this service advisory will be cancelled.

We are grateful for the support of surrounding healthcare centres and medical staff and would like to thank the community for its patience and understanding during this time.
