Boil water order lifted for communities in Calgary

January 4, 2026

CALGARY – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has confirmed that satisfactory water quality has been restored in the northwest Calgary. As a result, the boil water advisory previously issued for the communities of Parkdale, Montgomery, West Hillhurst and Point Mckay has been lifted, effective immediately.

Water may now be used and safely consumed as boiling is no longer required.

Anyone who has not used their household water system in the past 24 hours is advised to flush their system prior to initial use, while respecting the need to use water wisely as there are water restrictions in place while the City of Calgary continues with their repair efforts.

Information about flushing lines following a boil water order can be found online.

Residents with health concerns can contact Health Link to speak with a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 811.
