A formal Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Resident Training Curriculum is currently coordinated through CAMIS to provide surgery residents with instruction and training in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
In partnership with the University of Alberta and the Surgical-Medical Research Institute (SMRI), residents receive both didactic seminars, often with presenters from institutions across the country via videoconference, as well as hands-on training in both the CAMIS Skills Lab and the SMRI wet lab.
