The Program was pilot-tested in Calgary from August 15, 2013 through to December 31, 2013.
To date, Housing Initiatives (Provincial Planning and Capacity Management which is part of Community, Seniors and Addiction and Mental Health) continues to train interested AHS Health Providers and ID Specialists who assist clients who are 18+, have been in Alberta 90+ days and who are legally-entitled to remain in Canada.
As a result of its successes, Alberta Health Services and its cross-ministerial partners have recommended the implementation of the Program in its facilities, programs and services throughout each of its zones in Alberta.
