Provincial Advisory Councils

Building a better health system with the voice of our community

There are three Provincial Advisory Councils in Alberta that advise on province wide health programs including Cancer, Addiction and Mental Health, and Seniors and Continuing Care.

Councils include public members who represent all zones, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders in their area of focus.

All councils develop:

  • Work Plans that include goals, objectives, and proposals for formal consultations and engagement activities with communities
  • Individual Annual Reports that are submitted to AHS Board
