Senior financial analysts are responsible for providing proactive and strategic financial advice and expertise to managers and staff.

They have a strong knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial statement disclosure, and assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles and practices.

Degree in accounting, finance, or a related area

Duties

  • Advise leadership and help inform healthcare initiatives
  • Help the organization meet its legal requirements for taxes, reporting, etc.
  • Ensure employees are properly paid, including taxes, union dues, and other deductions
  • Direct incoming funds such as government grants, donations, and invoice payments in support of the healthcare system

  • Help ensure the prudent use of fiscal resources
  • Uphold the organizational value of accountability
  • Help the organization meet its legal requirements for taxes, reporting, etc.
  • Guide decisions and inform initiatives that enable a high quality, accessible, and sustainable healthcare system

Work Collaboratively

  • Work with a designated client base and with a high degree of independence
  • Work closely with managers, administrative staff, and leadership to interpret financial data, create financial plans and budgets, and manage organizational risk
  • Work in healthcare facilities or corporate offices
