Human Resources Analyst

Specialized HR knowledge

Human resources (HR) analysts play an important role in compiling and maintaining confidential data, and perform professional-level analytical work related to HR administration which helps inform critical organizational decisions.

They have proficient knowledge of general HR practices and labour relations, as well as HR Information Systems to advise leadership and staff on a variety of HR issues.

Duties

  • Advise leadership and staff on HR matters
  • Utilize a variety of HR information systems and database applications including recruitment management systems, payroll systems, and employee management systems
  • Work closely with information technology and other teams to ensure the integrity and security of HR information systems
  • Compile and maintain confidential data and reports

Make a Difference

  • Help staff and managers interpret and apply the collective agreements
  • Recruit healthcare professionals to communities across Alberta
  • Work with staff to reduce turnover and increase retention
  • Mediate, problem-solve, and resolve workplace conflicts
  • Co-create a workplace where people feel safe, healthy, valued, and able to reach their potential

Work Collaboratively

  • Work with HR advisors, HR professionals, union representatives, operational managers, and other corporate departments such as finance, IT, and communications
  • Work on-site at health facilities, in corporate offices, or remote/hybrid, depending on the role
  • Some travel may be required depending on the requirements of the job
