Northwestern Polytechnic's Fairview campus offers a range of post-secondary, transfer, and trades programs. Northwestern Polytechnic also houses the Fairview Community Centre and Regional Aquatic Centre, theatre, and fitness centre.
The local arena is home to the Fairview Flyers of the North West Junior Hockey League, minor hockey, and the Silver Blades figure skating club, and offers weekly public skates, shinny hockey, and indoor walking times. You can also check out the curling club or 5-pin bowling, the golf club in summer or the ski hill in the winter.
Explore the shops down main street or visit the fine arts centre. With a variety of churches, community organizations, and public events throughout the year, you can always find something to do. From Ukrainian New Year to the Old Time Country Music Festival, and the Agricultural Fair and Rodeo, there’s something for everyone. The Fairview Health Complex is a full-service hospital with an emergency department, lab and x-ray, pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy, as well as speech language pathology to support patients throughout their healthcare journey.
The Fairview Health Complex provides a range of public health and health promotion programs and services including immunizations for infants, children, and adults, prenatal and postnatal supports, including support for postpartum depression, a well baby clinic, vehicle and car seat safety, environmental public health, nutrition services for adults and youth, Alberta’s Aid to Daily Living, and community home care services.
Fairview residents can also access mental health and addiction services through Recovery Alberta at this facility.
