Overview

A central resource supporting clinicians, clinic directors, and administrative staff involved in delivering Outpatient and Community Physiotherapy Services (OCPS) on behalf of Alberta Health Service (AHS). Promoting consistent, high-quality care by offering access to essential learning modules and key operational resources.

The learning series includes three targeted modules that build foundational knowledge align service delivery with AHS standards and enhance the use of critical tools and platforms.

Participants will be prompted to track their course completion by clicking a Complete Course button at the end of each module, which will direct them to a brief survey.

Note: The survey to track module completion does a daily back up between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. and may be unavailable during this time.

Module 1

New Provider Training

Purpose: Introduces new providers to the Outpatient Community Physiotherapy Services (OCPS) program.

Key Topics:

  • OCPS program goals and structure
  • Overview of the three standardized services and care types
  • Number of AHS-funded visits available per care type

Who Should Take This: New physiotherapy providers joining the OCPS program.

Foundations for Contracted Physiotherapy Providers

Purpose: Covers essential practices for delivering physiotherapy services under AHS contracts.

  • Collaborative goal setting with patients
  • Promoting patient self-management
  • Visit spacing strategies
  • Documentation standards and expectations

Who Should Take This: All physiotherapy providers working under AHS contracts.

Strata HealthFirst Training

Purpose: Provides training on the Strata HealthFirst platform, a key tool for managing patient care and administrative tasks.

Key Topics:

  • Navigation and use of the HealthFirst system
  • Administrative workflows and data entry
  • Tips for communicating with your zone PT consultant

Who Should Take This: Physiotherapists and administrative staff who use the HealthFirst platform.
