A Million Messages (AMM

Injury Prevention & Safety, Information for Health Professionals

A Million Messages (AMM) standardizes the child injury prevention messages given to parents and caregivers. AMM was created for use during postpartum home visits and well child clinic visits.

Completion of the AMM Online Learning Module is recommended as a part of orientation for health professionals working with parents/caregivers who have children under 6 years of age. The Provincial Injury Prevention highly recommends that this module be required for public health nurses to complete. The module should be reviewed annually to ensure currency of information. Other healthcare and social service professionals, both internal and external to the AHS, are also welcome to complete the module.

The module takes approximately between 1 to 2 hours to complete.

Note: Certificates are typically e-mailed out weekly. Repeating the course will not generate a faster return of a certificate.
