Hospital moves patient registration to new wing

March 31, 2017

Public parking lot east of the Ambulatory Care Building opens Monday

MEDICINE HAT — Effective Monday, April 3, patients who need to be registered at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital are directed to visit Registration at its new location in the Ambulatory Care Building. It was previously located in the Acute Care atrium.

Registration may be accessed from either hospital entrance. Signage and wayfinding volunteers are available to help patients and visitors find their way. Registration collects general information required for inpatient services and ambulatory care clinics.

Patients with mobility challenges may choose to park in the Ambulatory Care Building public lot, accessible from 6 Ave. S.W., where handicap parking stalls are available. This is closest and quickest way to access services in the building.

People visiting the hospital may continue to park in any public lot.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective Wednesday, April 12, the current passenger drop-off and handicap parking area at the Acute Care entrance accessible from 5 St. S.W. will be closed to accommodate expansion of the emergency department. Please watch for signage.
