Public invited to annual Spring Clean Up at local hospital

LETHBRIDGE — Local and area residents are invited to take part in the annual Spring Clean Up at Chinook Regional Hospital.

This year’s event takes place on two days: April 26 and May 3.

Volunteers are needed to help with:

  • Tidying public areas.
  • Picking up garbage.
  • Raking and bagging.
  • Mulching flowerbeds and under trees.
  • Sweeping gravel off sidewalks and paths.
  • Pulling weeds among shrubs.
  • Helping to prepare flowerbeds for planting.
  • Painting or staining outdoor seating areas.

Participants are asked to meet at the hospital’s south entrance between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 26 and/or May 3. Please bring your gardening tools – including rakes, shovels and gloves – and don’t forget your sunscreen. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear; closed shoes are recommended. Spring Clean Up is part of the Outdoor Beautification Project, a partnership between Alberta Health Services and community groups that wish to invest in their local health facility and ensure it is a beautiful place to visit and work.
