GRANDE CACHE – Local and area residents are invited to attend a meeting of the Peace Health Advisory Council (HAC) on May 14.

This is an opportunity for the public to meet council members, provide feedback on health services, share views about local healthcare delivery and propose ideas for improvements. AHS North Zone leadership will provide an update on health services within North Zone.

The meeting runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the boardroom at the Grande Cache Community Health Complex, 10200 Shand Ave. The public are encouraged and welcome to attend the entire meeting; an opportunity for public to engage with the council is set for 7:00 p.m. Public feedback will be shared with local Alberta Health Services (AHS) leaders to inform their decision-making.

HACs play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure that services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them. For more information on the Peace HAC, visit the website.
