COALDALE – The Coaldale Health Centre will reopen its ambulatory clinic next month after being closed in March 2020 as part of Alberta Health Services’ COVID-19 response.
Effective June 20, patients will be accepted weekdays from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The closure was implemented to help protect 45 long-term-care residents at the health centre, who were at heightened risk for severe illness if exposed to COVID-19.
All individuals in the community requiring immediate medical care should phone 911.
Individuals requiring non-emergency medical care continue to be encouraged to call their family physician. To speak to a nurse and receive telephone advice and health information, families can also contact Health Link 24/7 by dialing 811.
Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.
