DAYSLAND – A newly recruited family physician is now providing care to Daysland and area residents after opening practice at the Daysland Medical Clinic.
Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Adetola Lawal has started a full-time family medicine practice after being recruited to the community.
“This is good news for the community of Daysland,” says Jackie Lovely, MLA for Camrose. “Family physicians are vital to the health of rural Albertans and Dr. Lawal’s desire to practice in this region is greatly valued.”
Dr. Lawal will join three physicians already practicing in the community.
AHS continues to recruit for physicians across the Central Zone to meet community needs. AHS has physician resource planners who are dedicated to identifying and pursuing international and domestic physician recruitment opportunities. They work closely with various community partners and organizations, such as local Health Advisory Councils, the Rural Health Professions Action Plan, and independent physician recruitment and retention committees.
