HARDISTY – Patients and visitors to the Hardisty Health Centre will continue to be unable to access the facility through the main entrance due to unforeseen delays in the flooring renovation project at the site.
Access to the site, including to the emergency department, for patients and visitors will remain through the EMS garage until mid-August as additional renovation work is carried out.
There continues to be no impact to the delivery of services or programs at the Hardisty Health Centre as a result of the flooring renovations. The Hardisty Medical Clinic also continues to operate as usual.
Funded by the Government of Alberta’s Infrastructure Maintenance Program (IMP), the $1.1-million project involves installation of new flooring within the Continuing Care Home Type A (long-term care) wing and the main entrance. The renovations will ensure the site continues to meet provincial continuing care accommodation standards.
Alberta Health Services thanks the community, patients and our care teams for their patience and understanding during this time.
