COALDALE – Due to an unexpected gap in staffing coverage, the Coaldale Health Centre Ambulatory Clinic is temporarily closed on Sunday, August 18, 2024 and will reopen Monday, August 19, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.
Patients arriving at the Coaldale Health Centre Ambulatory Clinic to receive care will be redirected to other available care options, appropriate to their individual needs. This may include being redirected to other facilities, being asked to return when the Ambulatory Clinic resumes service, or following up with a primary care provider.
The Coaldale Health Centre Ambulatory Clinic offers non-urgent care to people who do not need to be seen in an emergency department. Services may include treatment of minor cuts or burns, muscle and joint strains, sore throats, headaches, earaches or ear infections, and urinary tract infections. It is not for life-threatening emergencies such as heart attack, signs/symptoms of stroke, head trauma, seizures etc.
Patients can access medical care for urgent health concerns from facilities in nearby communities, including Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, or by calling 911.
Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency, health-related questions.
AHS appreciates the support of surrounding healthcare centres and would like to thank the community for its patience and understanding during this time.
