CROWSNEST PASS – Initial stages of construction to the sidewalk at the Crowsnest Pass Healthcare Centre will begin next week.
The renovation will be completed in phases and will impact both the main and the long-term care (LTC) entrances as well as the drop-off and pick-up locations.
During Phase 1, the main entrance to the building will close and individuals will be redirected to the LTC entrance. The drop-off and pick-up location will temporarily relocate to the beginning of the traffic loop, north of its current location.
During Phase 2, the main entrance to the facility will reopen and the LTC entrance will close. The drop-off and pick-up location will temporarily relocate to the front of the main entrance.
Adequate signage will be posted in and around the facility for the duration of the project.
The renovation work involves tearing up the existing sidewalk, installing heat lines to prevent freezing and repouring a new sidewalk. The project is expected to be complete in October.
