PICTURE BUTTE – The Piyami Health Centre is temporary closing its on-site services beginning tomorrow (Sept. 25) to complete the final repairs caused by damage from a water leak in July.
Affected program staff will contact those with appointments to reschedule or relocate appointments. Laboratory and diagnostic imaging services are available in Lethbridge and Coaldale.
The non-urgent walk-in clinic in Coaldale also offers care to people who need to see a doctor but don’t need to be seen in the emergency department. Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency, health-related questions.
The ambulatory clinic will reopen for services on Friday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. Regular hours for the clinic are weekdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Public and allied health programs, along with laboratory services and diagnostic imaging, will reopen Monday, Oct. 7.
Alberta Health Services is grateful for the support of healthcare teams and centres in the surrounding communities, and would like to thank local and area residents for their patience and understanding while repairs are finalized.
