THREE HILLS – A newly recruited family physician is now providing care to residents in Three Hills and surrounding communities.
Dr. Magd Ben Mousa is providing care at the Three Hills Health Centre and the Kneehill Medical Clinic in Three Hills. Individuals seeking a family doctor can call 403-443-5522 or visit kneehillmedicalclinic.ca to arrange a meet-and-greet appointment.
“Family physicians play a crucial role in keeping Alberta’s communities healthy,” says Tara Sawyer, MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills. “We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Ben Mousa to Three Hills—his skills and dedication will be a valuable addition to the region.”
Dr. Ben Mousa received his medical education at the University of Tripoli in Libya and practised abroad before coming to Alberta. He says he looks forward to using his experience to support a wide range of patients and become part of the community.
“There’s something special about smaller communities — the sense of trust, familiarity and connection,” says Dr. Ben Mousa. “I was looking for a place where I could settle, contribute and grow long-term, and this felt like the right fit.”
In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, meeting new people, being outdoors and spending quality time with family.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) continues to recruit physicians across the Central Zone to meet community needs. AHS has physician resource planners who are dedicated to identifying and pursuing international and domestic physician recruitment opportunities. They work closely with various community partners and organizations, such as the Rural Health Professions Action Plan, and independent physician recruitment and retention committees.
Alberta Health Services provides a range of health care services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta. Our mission is to provide excellent, patient-focused healthcare that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans. Our current focus is on reducing emergency department wait times, improving EMS response times, increasing access to surgeries, and improving patient flow.
