Help needed to stock hospital clothing closet

Chinook Regional Hospital collecting coats, gloves and toques to refill winter clothing supplies for patients and families in need

LETHBRIDGE – Volunteer Resources at Chinook Regional Hospital will be collecting new or gently used winter coats, gloves and toques, from October 1 to 15, to refill the hospital’s winter Clothing Closet.

The Clothing Closet has a direct and meaningful impact on the patient experience. By providing essential clothing to those who may have limited resources to be successfully discharged or arrive at hospital without appropriate items, the clothing helps reduce stress, restore dignity, and support a more positive and respectful care experience.

From October 1 to 15, coats, gloves and toques in adult sizes ranging from XS to XXL can be placed in the bin in the south end of the hospital atrium. For more information, email volunteer.lethbridge@ahs.ca.
