LETHBRIDGE — The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation’s annual Christmas Tree Festival launches next week to raise funds to benefit the hospital.
This year’s event will support the Guest House at Alberta Rose Lodge, which provides affordable, short-term accommodation for adult patients receiving outpatient treatment at the Chinook Regional Hospital and the Jack Ady Cancer Centre.
The Christmas Tree Festival runs Nov. 14-16 at D.A. Electric Barn, located on the Lethbridge College campus.
Kids can enjoy face painting, snacks and a special visit from Santa during a free family evening event Nov. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be a free Christmas tree display, including wreaths and other Christmas-themed creations, Nov. 14 and 15 from noon to 8 p.m.
The Christmas Tree Festival winds up with the annual Gala and Auction on Nov. 16, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. All Christmas trees from the display will be on the auction block when Bob Balog of Balog Auctions gets the event started at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased by phoning 403-388-6001.
