CALGARY – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is offering Calgary Zone residents requiring measles vaccine the opportunity to be immunized at these remaining drop-in measles immunization clinics:
Brentwood Village Mall Measles Immunization Clinic – Unit 302, 3630 Brentwood Rd. N.W.
Tuesday, May 13 – 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
South Calgary Health Centre Measles Immunization Clinic* – 3rd floor, 31 Sunpark Plaza S.E. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 – 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
*Public is reminded that this is NOT located in the South Health Campus.
From April 30 through end-of-day May 10, more than 11,500 Calgary Zone residents have been immunized against measles. This includes 90 per cent of the six-month to 11-month-old population.
Measles vaccine appointments for eligible groups will continue to be offered in Calgary Zone. Starting Tuesday May 20th, please phone your nearest community health centre to book an appointment if you need to be vaccinated. Appointments will be available at various times and locations, for the following individuals:
Please note: individuals who have already received two doses of measles vaccine, as per the routine immunization schedule, do not require any additional doses of measles vaccine.
Routine immunizations also continue to be offered at community health centres in Calgary Zone. Please call a community health centre directly to book an appointment.
Calgary Zone residents uncertain of their immunization history, or their child’s immunization history, are also encouraged to contact their local community health centre or Health Link Alberta (1-866-408-5465) to discuss.
