LETHBRIDGE — Local and area residents have an opportunity Saturday Sept. 5 to sell unwanted items and raise money for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation at the same time.

The Junk in Your Trunk event runs 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the rear parking lot of the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel, 230 Scenic Drive S.

Here’s how it works:

There is no admission charge for the public. This event is hosted by the Lethbridge Centre Engagement Committee of Alberta Health Services. The sale will proceed, rain or shine.

More details will be provided to sellers when they register. Sale items must meet health and safety guidelines. For more information, consult Health Canada’s website: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pubs/cons/garage-eng.php.

The Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation raises, receives and distributes funds for equipment and programs that will enhance patient services and health programs in the community. The foundation will issue tax receipts for donations of $10 and over.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta.
