Connect with health educators at 2016 Active Living Fair

LACOMBE – Local and area residents have an opportunity to learn more about health and wellness when Alberta Health Services (AHS) visits the 2016 Active Living Fair on Wednesday, September 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, 5214 – 50 Ave.

AHS staff will be providing information and resources to help residents and their families stay healthy.

Attendees will have an opportunity to:

  • Meet with various Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre staff and managers to learn more about the programs and services that are available.
  • Talk face-to-face with AHS health promotion staff about making positive wellness choices.
  • Learn more about long-term care and home care programs and resources that are available to the Lacombe and area residents.
  • Speak with the AHS Addiction and Mental Health team and learn about the services and resources available in your community and how you can access them.
  • Speak with a local Registered Dietitian about nutrition and healthy food choices for the whole family.
  • Find out about available AHS volunteer opportunities and programs in the community.
  • Get information on upcoming free healthy living workshops for those living with a chronic disease or wanting to improve their overall health.

AHS wants to hear about your health care experiences and find out what’s important to you. We want to hear about how you are keeping healthy and connect you to information and experts who will help you be even healthier.
