AHS offers free workshop to help manage headaches

Gain a better understanding of headache assessment and management

CALGARY – Fall is here and with that brings chinooks and rapid changes in weather, which means headaches for many people.

Alberta Health Services is offering free information sessions for people experiencing headaches who are looking to gain a better understanding of headache assessment and management.

Led by a physician, registered nurse and/or occupational therapist, this one-hour session will address assessment and treatment of common headache conditions, such as migraine and tension-type headaches; diagnosis; medical and non-medical treatments; and headache management resources.

Getting Ahead of Your Headaches will be offered at South Health Campus, Wellness Centre, Oct. 11 starting at 7 p.m. and Oct. 27 starting at 1 p.m. Register at app.bookking.ca/bkshcwellnesspub or call 403-956-3939.
