Volunteers needed for AHS outdoor beautification projects

January 16, 2017

LETHBRIDGE – Planning is underway for outdoor beautification projects at a number of health centres in the South Zone of Alberta Health Services.

The projects will create a healing outdoor environment and peaceful setting for patients, families, visitors and staff, and also will add beauty to surrounding neighbourhoods.

Outdoor beautification project team members are needed to work with staff and other volunteers to lead projects in Brooks, Bassano, Oyen and Crowsnest Pass. Members are needed who have good leadership, planning and mentorship skills. Many positions are available.

The project runs from February until the end of May.

Interested groups and individuals are encouraged to register with Volunteer Resources at the local sites.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta.
