Residents invited to information session about teen vaping

GRANDE PRAIRIE – Area residents are invited to attend a free community information session to learn about the harms vaping presents to the health of teenagers and teen vaping reduction strategies.

The presentation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Grande Prairie Public School District, 10127 120 Ave.

Greg Paterson, an addiction prevention counsellor with Alberta Health Services, will lead the presentation. Attendees will learn about the health effects of vaping, reasons and factors as to why some teens may vape, chemicals found in vaping, prevention strategies, approaches to support adolescents who vape, and terms and references.

Registration is not required. Please bring any questions you may have about topics related to vaping.
