The following resources are listed below to help you and your loved ones navigate the Alberta Hospital Edmonton during your visit or stay.
Designated disabled parking spaces are available throughout the site. Buildings are equipped with elevators and ramps.
Banking
Bank machines are located in 17 Building across from the cafeteria, and in the front lobby of the A.D. MacPherson Pavilion (10 Building).
There is a Canada Post mailbox at the top of the stairs at the entrance to 17 Building where the Sunshine Cafeteria is located.
General Information
Information can be obtained at the booth/switchboard on the main floor at the entrance of the A.D. MacPherson Pavilion (10 Building).
The Meeting Place
In the back of the Meeting Place on the main floor of the A.D. MacPherson Pavilion (10 Building) are couches and game tables for patient and family use.
Chapel
There is a Chapel on the main floor of the Rachel Young Pavilion (12 Building) that is open for patient and family use.
Friendship Trail
The Friendship Trail surrounds the beautiful hospital grounds and is a great place to go for a walk. The hospital is unique in having a large park-like area with mature trees and vast open space. There are benches and picnic tables to sit and watch the squirrels and birds while you enjoy the fresh air.
Sunshine Cafeteria
Located in 17 Building offering salads, fruit, desserts, as well as freshly made daily specials and various paninis. Vegetarian options are also available. Starbucks coffee is served here. Open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM.
The Meeting Place
Located on the main floor of the A.D. MacPherson Pavilion (10 Building), The Meeting Place offers coffee, popcorn, hotdogs and various snacks. Open weekdays (except statutory holidays).
Vending Machines
Vending machines with snacks and drinks are available throughout the hospital.
Gift Shop
There is no gift shop on site.
Nearby Businesses
The closest place to eat and shop is Manning Town Centre. Located at the corner of Manning Drive and 153rd Avenue, Manning Centre is a shopping centre with a variety of places to shop and eat, get a haircut, or watch a movie. Learn more
Wifi
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hospital. Wireless Internet is accessible for patients and their families. To access, select “healthspot” from the list of available networks, open a web browser, read the acceptable use policy, and select “Accept”.
