This outpatient clinic provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for women with abnormal pap test results that are screened for cancer of the cervix, vulva, or vagina.

Day of Your Appointment

What to Know

  • Remember to bring your Alberta Healthcare card and a valid piece of photo ID.
  • We suggest that you to eat prior to coming to your clinic appointment.
  • You may find it helpful to take Ibuprofen (Advil®, Motrin®) or Tylenol® prior to your appointment (provided that you do not have sensitivities to these medications).
  • You can still have a colposcopy if you are having your period.

Going Home

You should be able to drive your car and resume normal activities after the procedure.

Parking Information

Drop off location in front of the Women’s Health Centre is area J. The nearest public parking pay lot to the Women’s Health Centre is the East lot. A ticket can be purchased in the pay lot or at the entrance to the buildings.

Finding Us

East Entrance

When coming onto the Foothills Medical Campus from the East Entrance, turn on to 29th Street NW and then into the Emergency Entrance. The Women’s Health Centre is to your immediate left.

West Entrance

When coming onto the Foothills Medical Campus from the West Entrance, we are located just off 16th Ave NW, exit onto West Campus Boulevard and follow Hospital Drive. The Women’s Health Centre will be to your right (just past the McCaig Tower and University of Calgary Medical Clinics).
