Join a conversation about palliative care in central Alberta

January 7, 2022

RED DEER - Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the David Thompson Health Advisory Council (HAC) invite you to a virtual conversation about palliative care in AHS Central Zone.

An AHS health representative will talk about palliative care services within the zone, as well as advance care planning, which is a way to help patients think about, talk about and document wishes for healthcare in the event they become incapable of consenting to or refusing treatment or other care.

This conversation will be held, via Zoom, on Jan. 13 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Space is limited, so register early. To register for this virtual event, visit registration page or email community.engagement@ahs.ca with the subject line ‘David’; you will be sent the registration link. If you have difficulties registering, please call 1-877-275-8830 or email community.engagement@ahs.ca.

HACs play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure services are responsive to the needs of those who use them.
