The nutrition guidelines and practice support tools provide you with consistent, evidence-based messaging relating to key nutrition topics. We will continue to create and develop guidelines as the need for information arises and as new clinical research is available.
Parenteral Nutrition Support Manuals are available to AHS staff on Insite (search parenteral nutrition). These Nutrition Support Manuals are comprehensive documents that provide evidence-based education and direction on steps require to safely provide Parenteral Nutrition to patients. These are developed by Nutrition Services to support health professionals who prescribe adult and pediatric parenteral nutrition. An AHS master list of evidence-based diets used across AHS and the continuum of care. Diets and their defined guidelines include modifications for lifecycle stage (e.g. infant, toddler, pregnancy), allergies and intolerances, cultural considerations (e.g. vegetarian), therapeutic and texture modifications.
