Volunteers at Alberta Children’s Hospital share a commitment to improving the patient and family experience. They are an integral part of the healthcare team, supporting and enhancing the work of our healthcare professionals.
Our volunteers are engaged in meaningful activities and roles such as patient support in inpatient, outpatient and emergency department areas, patient and family advisors, peer mentors, media and technology, wayfinders, pet visitation and much more. They come from diverse backgrounds but have one thing in common - a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives and healthcare experiences of our patients and their families.
