Development of Community Palliative and End-of-Life Care within Alberta

A Resource Guide for the Development of Community Palliative and End-of-Life Care within Alberta has been developed. The Resource Guide will assist communities in the creation of their own local palliative and end-of-life community services and supports, and was developed in response to numerous requests AHS received from communities across Alberta for palliative and end-of-life care information.

of the Resource Guide was facilitated by representatives from Alberta Health, Alberta Health Services, Palliative Physicians, Alberta Hospice Palliative Care Association, Alberta Universities, Indigenous Health, various Hospice Societies and PEOLC Organizations within Alberta as well as multiple consulted stakeholders.

All links listed in the Resource Guide are current as of January 15, 2017. If you come across any broken or missing links, or have suggestions for additional resources please email palliative.care@ahs.ca. The Resource Guide will be updated on a quarterly basis starting in April 2017.
