A kinesiologist can help you:
Working with a kinesiologist can help you keep moving, feel stronger, and improve your overall well-being.
Your nurse or kidney doctor can arrange a visit with a Kinesiologist, either in person or virtually.
During your first visit, you will meet with a kinesiologist and complete an assessment. This helps us make sure exercise is safe for you and understand your current fitness level.
Your kinesiologist will use this information to create a personalized exercise plan based on your needs and goals.
If you receive hemodialysis, a kinesiologist may visit you during your treatment to talk about simple ways to be active while on dialysis or at home. You can also ask a member of your healthcare team to refer you to a kinesiologist.
