NOD-ED

Name, Occupation, Duty, Explanation, Duration

NOD-ED is a framework for communication between clinicians and patients. This tool aims to promote partnerships between patients, families and care teams. Clinicians using NOD-ED to introduce themselves to patients each time they see them helps patients better understand their care and care team. It can reduce healthcare provider burnout through allowing a more human and authentic connection with patients and improve the patient experience.

Patient Journey Videos

Emergency Department & Urgent Care Centre Patient Journey

Four videos have been produced in collaboration with patient and family advisors to help patients better understand how care is provided in emergency departments and urgent care centres.

Patient Journey Map

The patient journey map has been refreshed to reflect current patient experiences in emergency departments and urgent care centres. This large-scale poster was created to give patients easy to understand information about wait times and how care is delivered.
