The Bone and Joint Clinic consists of the General Orthopaedic Clinic, Hip and Knee Clinic, Hand Clinic, and Cast Clinic.
Remember to bring your Alberta Healthcare card and a piece of photo ID. If you don't your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Wear loose-fitting clothing to make it easier for the doctor to examine you. For example, wear shorts if you have a lower body issue and tank tops/t-shirts if you have an upper body issue.

Located on the main floor across from the Wellness Centre and YMCA.
At the information desk, on the main floor, there are wayfinders, people in red shirts to help you find your way. There are also electronic kiosks throughout the hospital that give directions.
Check in at the front desk when you arrive.
You may be in the clinic for several hours, so please come prepared.
When you see the surgeon, you will review your medical history and talk about the reason for your visit.
After the surgeon examines you, you and the surgeon will talk about the best treatment choices for you.
Treatment choices may include surgery (such as joint replacements or soft tissue repairs), non-surgical treatments (such as injections), or a referral to another healthcare provider such as physiotherapy.
If you need to have surgery, you will be asked to sign a consent form and be given some information to read about your procedure or surgery.
You may return to the Bone and Joint Clinic for your follow-up appointments.
