Finding Us

We are located in the 4C2 Ambulatory Clinic, located on the 4th floor on the southwest side of the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

From the 112th street entrance, walk straight towards the elevators and go to the 4th floor. Turn right when exiting the elevators and then turn right at the white stairs. The clinic is located in 4C2. The registration desk opens at 7:30 a.m.

What to Expect

Your child’s appointment may last two to four hours, so please come prepared. Bring something to drink and a small snack. Whenever possible, limit the number of family members attending the appointment as our waiting room space is limited.

During the appointment, your child may require several diagnostic tests such as an electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, or stress test. You will meet several healthcare professionals including the cardiologist, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, dietitian, social worker, and genetic counsellors. Your child may require follow up testing including Holter monitors, blood work, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital. We often have learners in our clinic so you may also see medical residents and health care students as members of your child’s care team.

Going Home

At the end of your appointment, you will receive instructions for follow up plans from the cardiologist and the nurse. Reach out to your child’s care team with any questions. Our team has compiled a list of resources for families that you might find helpful.
