For Your Stay

Visiting hours are flexible, allowing loved ones to visit based on the discretion of the unit staff.

Hand washing is required upon entry and exit of the unit, and before and after use of the kitchen area.

Anyone with a fever, cough, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or a communicable disease (like chickenpox) should avoid visiting our unit.
Leave valuable items at home, and remember the hospital is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Finding Us

The Cardiology Inpatient Unit is located on the 1st floor Robbins Pavilion at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Enter the main doors of the Robbin’s Pavilion on the ground level and take the elevators or stairs to the 1st floor. Turn left and go towards the sign for 1 East Cheung Family Wing located on the right. Enter the door and check in at the unit reception desk. 


What to Expect

The cardiology healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, health care aides, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, and pharmacists. A social worker is available to work through difficult decisions or stressors that you or your family may have during your stay. There is a unit manager available Monday through Friday to discuss your care and answer any questions you and your support person may have. The healthcare team will make daily rounds, to see each patient on the Cardiology Inpatient Unit.
