Remember to bring your child’s Alberta Healthcare card and a piece of photo ID.
We are located in Oilers Ambulatory Clinic, located on the second floor on the north side of the Stollery Children’s Hospital. From the 112th street entrance walk straight towards the elevators and go to the second floor. The clinic is located in 2E within the Edmonton Oilers blue and orange painted entrance.
Your first appointment or follow up appointment may last up to one hour or more, so please come prepared. During this time you and your child will see a physician or nurse practitioner and a registered nurse.
During the appointment we will review your child’s comprehensive history and answer any questions you may have about neurological concerns.
A physical exam geared towards the neurological presentation will be completed so please have your child prepared for this.
If needed, a follow up appointment or referral to other specialists will be scheduled after the clinic visit, and you will be contacted by the centralized booking services to confirm a date with you. Some diagnostic imaging tests may be recommended such as an EEG, CT scan, MRI, or X-rays.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital. Please be aware that we often have learners in our clinic so you may also see medical residents and health care students as members of your child’s care team.
