Finding Us

We are located in the 2E Edmonton Oilers Ambulatory Clinic, located on the second floor on the north side of the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

From the 112th street entrance walk straight towards the North glass elevators and go to the second floor. Cross the pedway behind the elevators and enter the Edmonton Oilers blue and orange painted entrance.

What to Expect

Typical appointments last between one to three hours, so please come prepared with snacks, water, toys, or items of comfort for your child. On average, children and their families visit the clinic three to four times a year.

During this time you and your child will see several different professionals including: a Cystic Fibrosis physician, a nurse, a dietitian, a physiotherapist and a social worker.

Activities during the appointment may include measurements of height, weight, breathing tests, lab work, x-rays, and assessments with each team member. Consultation with other specialties can also be arranged as needed.

During the appointment we will review your child’s medications, let us know if you need any refills at the appointment.

Newborn infants recalled through the newborn screening program are scheduled for a follow-up test (sweat chloride) and parents are given more education and offered genetic counselling.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital. Be aware that we often have learners in our clinic so you may also see medical residents and health care students as members of your child’s care team.
