Provincially Coordinated Patient Services
Through our service delivery teams, we provide universal, targeted, and personalized services for Albertans. Each service is tailored to patient need and delivered in-person or virtually through webinars, handouts videos or web-based resources.
Provincial Integrated Respiratory Services (PIRS)
- 24/7 availability: Respiratory therapists on call around the clock for patients with complex airway and ventilation needs at home
- Clinician support: Offers support to AHS clinicians without respiratory therapists onsite, including system navigation services related to home oxygen, BPAP & CPAP funding
- Access: Services are referral based. Clinicians consult PIRS by phone or through RAAPID (rural ventilation only)
Provincial Virtual Children's Rehabilitation
- Goal: Helps children and youth live the best life they can, build resilience, and take part in meaningful activities
- Services offered: Free live webinars, on-demand videos and written material developed and delivered by allied health professionals

Provincial Virtual Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
- Goal: Empower people with pelvic health issues through education and self-care advice

Provincial Virtual Prehabilitation
- Goal: Prehab helps you prepare your body and mind for surgery, helps you recover more quickly and get back to doing what is important to you sooner
- Approach: Interdisciplinary prehabilitation across four domains: Feeling Ready, Being Active, Eating Well, Living Well
- Access: Visit ahs.ca/prehab to refer a patient or enroll in the program
