A partnership between AHS and Justice and Solicitor General of Alberta, the PMHDP, provides an alternative to traditional court prosecution for individuals who have come into conflict with the law primarily due to a mental health disorder.
The Provincial Diversion training video has been developed to assist individuals who work with adults and youth with mental illness and who are in conflict with the law, receive appropriate care, support and treatment from mental health, social and support services.
