Policies and Privacy

Before you begin your new job, familiarize yourself with the AHS Code of Conduct as it forms part of your employment contract with AHS.

Once you have received your network access (username and password), visit the Policies, Procedures, Protocols, Guidelines and Standards page on Insite (AHS Intranet). At all times, you are required to be aware of the most up-to-date policies and comply with them.

Privacy & Security Training - Mandatory

Protecting privacy isn’t only the right thing to do; it’s the law. All AHS employees are accountable for protecting the privacy and security of patient and confidential information.

Everyone at AHS has to complete the mandatory Annual Continuing Education (ACE) Privacy and Information Security training module InfoCare – On Our Best Behaviors via MyLearningLink. You must complete this course upon hire and at least once every three years.

At the end of this course, you must electronically sign the AHS Confidentiality and User Agreement before AHS will grant access to AHS information or to an AHS owned or operated electronic system.

This agreement describes how you, when acting as an AHS affiliate (defined under the Health Information Act), must handle AHS information, including AHS information systems, and will help you comply with relevant AHS policies.

Once you have AHS network access, go to MyLearningLink to complete this 30 minute mandatory training. See Orientation & Learning for information on how to access MyLearningLink.
